Job Description
Motional is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join their Perception team, focused on developing and implementing perception algorithms for autonomous vehicles. The role involves leading the development of object detection, tracking, classification, and segmentation systems, optimizing performance, and collaborating with other teams to integrate perception systems into larger systems. The team works with world-class ML engineers and scientists on a mission to make self-driving vehicles a reality.
Requirements
- Masters or Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Robotics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related field
- Strong leadership skills
- In-depth understanding of common Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms
- Experience with designing, training, and analyzing neural networks
- Fluency in Python
- Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience mentoring and leading others
