Motor Coach Industries is hiring Mechanics to perform advanced diagnostic, repair, and maintenance tasks on complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. The role requires a strong background in automotive, diesel, or related fields, with a focus on engine, driveline, and electrical systems. Mechanic Helpers and Mechanic IV team members will be guided by the successful candidate, who will also be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing engine and body accessories, and performing routine and general maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in automotive, diesel, or related fields
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Air and Passenger endorsements (preferred)
- High-Voltage (HV) Safety Certification and HV Maintenance/Repair Training (highly desired)
- Diagnostic Tools: Utilize systems like Vansco, Cummins INSITE, and other diagnostic tools
- Precision Tools: Employ equipment such as hydraulic presses, pullers, manometers, tachometers, decelerometers, and VOA instruments
- Measurement and Calibration Tools: Use dial indicators, micrometers, reamers, and hones
- Pumps and Testing Equipment: Apply vacuum and compression pumps to test engine performance
- Fleet & Data Management Software: Operate platforms like Oracle and Fleetio
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook
