Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Silvus Technologies is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to develop innovative, manufacturable packaging designs for new products, create detailed CAD drawings and Bills of Materials, and provide technical support and guidance to the production assembly and quality assurance teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electromechanical packaging design including experience with rugged, waterproof electronic products
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals
• Experience designing products with DoD MIL-STD requirements (i.e. MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461, etc.)
• Knowledge of product design for harsh environments, including material selection for maritime applications
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (preferred) or equivalent CAD tools, with the ability to generate and interpret 2D and 3D drawings
• Proficiency in fundamentals of electrical engineering and the ability to incorporate electrical wiring and harness design
