Associate Medical Director - Physician – Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center – Manhattan, NY

We are recruiting an energetic, clinically-oriented Board Certified Adolescent Medicine Physician to join our team at the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center (MSAHC) as Associate Medical Director. The Associate Medical Director will engage in medical education of residents and Adolescent Medicine fellows, and work collaboratively with the MSAHC Medical and Mental Health Directors to ensure that the delivery of primary and subspecialty adolescent and young adult care to young people is developed and managed in accordance with MSAHC’s mission, strategic direction and business position, Mount Sinai’s policies and procedures, New York State regulations and guidelines, funder guidelines, and established best practices in adolescent medicine.

Requirements

• Board Certified Adolescent Medicine Physician
• Prior Assistant/Associate Medical Director experience
• Clinical care and administrative leadership in Adolescent Medicine
• Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and familiarity with quality improvement methodology
• Experience leading grant-funded programs
• Exceptional team management skills
• Strong commitment to mentoring, recruiting and retaining a multidisciplinary dynamic team in a multi-cultural environment
• A commitment to, and experience in building systems of care for vulnerable populations, particularly adolescents and young adults
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, empathy, compassion and patience
• A multi-tasker with the ability to respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, verbal and writing skills
