Job Description
Provides clinical office support to physicians and surgeons and performs patient care and administrative duties necessary to deliver quality patient care. Mentors and assists less experienced staff members.
Requirements
- Perform venipuncture and/or EKGs
- Check schedules and organize patient flow
- Accompany patients to exam/procedure room
- Assist patients with walking, transferring and dressing
- Collect and process specimens and point of care testing
- Prepare for exam, etc.
- Enter orders into the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Prepare prescription refill requests on behalf of the physician
- Inventory, order or re-stock medical supplies
- Maintain logging system for refrigeration of medications, point of care testing, sterilization process, crash cart or others as needed
