Job Description
A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is required to assess the health status of patients/families, initiate and order therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, and prescribe medication regimens. The NP will work in the telemetry department at Mount Sinai Hospital and will be responsible for educating and counseling patients and families on health promotion, maintenance, disease prevention, and management of acute/chronic illnesses.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a related field
- New York State License with current registration as a registered nurse
- Certified by the New York State Department of Education as a Nurse Practitioner
- Collaborative Practice Agreement with a physician
- Ability to perform history taking, physical assessment techniques, and interpret principles of nursing research utilization
