The Regional Ecosystems Director will develop, manage, and support the design and implementation of regionally grounded frameworks, assessments, and coordination models that strengthen the capacity of key regional organizations to engage powerbuilding organizations across California’s regional ecosystems.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in community organizing, powerbuilding, regional coordination, or movement infrastructure work.
- Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating multi-organizational collaborations, coalitions, or networks.
- Strong grounding in regional or statewide movement ecosystems, with an understanding of grassroots powerbuilding organizations, basebuilding, and movement support roles.
- Skilled facilitator with experience supporting shared analysis, strategy alignment, and conflict navigation.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex analysis into actionable frameworks and tools.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, multiple partners, and iterative learning processes.
- Leadership style that is collaborative, adaptive, community-centered, and grounded in practice.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and experimentation in a start-up or growth-oriented environment.
- High level of cultural competence and experience working across diverse communities, regions, and organizational contexts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize learning and present to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with common technology tools (Google Workspace, project management platforms) and willingness to learn new systems.
