Job Description
A Service Engineer (BWTS) is responsible for the field service, inspection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ballast water treatment systems on seagoing vessels.
Requirements
- Knowledge of BWTS technologies (UV treatment, electro-chlorination, etc.)
- Experience in commissioning of BWTS
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- IMO BWMS Code Familiarisation
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety rules for marine processes
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Eagerness to learn and adapt
- Ability to work well with customers, co-workers, and contractors
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to travel within the region and internationally
