Sr Accountant

Mueller Water Products is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to provide comprehensive support for the plant's accounting and finance function, including report preparation and financial and data analysis.

Requirements

• Proficient in GAAP accounting principles.
• Month-end close experience, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Forecasting, budgeting, and cost accounting experience.
• Skilled in analyzing extensive financial data sets.
• Strong PC/Systems knowledge and skills and proficiency in automated accounting systems.
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to independently perform, manage and/or direct multiple tasks and determine priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of employees, customers and external business partners.
• Experience in dealing with complex accounting matters, product development, technical specifications, and project management and maintaining quality standards.
• Dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective working relationships.
• Ability to build relationships to earn and maintain teammates' trust and respect.
• Continuous improvement mindset, always looking for better ways to satisfy external and internal customers, through incremental and sustainable improvements in quality, durability, service, and cost.
• Ability to lead and/or participate in cross functional teams to achieve a common goal.
