Act as Compliance Officer and/or Money Laundering Compliance and Reporting Officer for regulated entities as required. Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and represent MUFG with respect to regulatory dealings. Develop, implement, and monitor Compliance Monitoring Plans for all regulated/contracting jurisdictions.
Requirements
- Act as Compliance Officer and/or Money Laundering Compliance and Reporting Officer for regulated entities as required.
- Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and represent MUFG with respect to regulatory dealings.
- Work with the global Compliance team to develop, implement, and monitor Compliance Monitoring Plans (CMP) for all regulated/contracting jurisdictions.
- Keep abreast of and keep senior management informed of all relevant regulatory developments, research the regulatory requirements and report on the potential impact thereof on the Company’s licenses, business, or services.
- Ensure there is a clear compliance culture adopted and upheld by the business and that all staff are advised of and kept up to date with compliance policies.
- Prepare management reporting and assist in the periodic reporting to stakeholders including the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), the Compliance Committee (monthly), Board of Directors (quarterly), Senior Management, and the parent company (quarterly and ad hoc).
- Ensure appropriate reporting, escalation and recording of Incidents including regulatory breaches, errors and complaints and promptly instigating action to remedy any deficiencies in the compliance arrangements.
- Act as a global SME and point of contact/escalation for AML issues.
- Manage, coach and develop team members and other junior members of the department/company.
- Any other ad-hoc projects and duties as required.
