Job Description
Murray Company is seeking an Estimating Manager to supervise the estimating staff, manage project estimate deliverables, and ensure accuracy and completeness of all proposals. The ideal candidate will have deep project scope experience in process piping, HVAC, sheet metal, and/or plumbing.
Requirements
- Lead and supervise the estimating team
- Regularly contact Pre-Construction Departments of targeted General Contractors
- Evaluate opportunities to ensure success and consistency with business model
- Review plans, P&ID’s, specifications, and contracts prior to preparing the estimate
- Learn and operate a computer-based take-off and estimating system
- Assist in selling the project and preparing project forecasts, claims and schedules
- Lead weekly staff meetings and assist in developing alternate plans to recover projects
