Metrolinx is seeking a Senior Advisor, Stakeholder Relations to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting the implementation of the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA).
Requirements
- Completion of a diploma or degree in Communications, Community/ Public Relations, Political Science or a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in relationship building, stakeholder management, and planning
- Exceptional writing and editing skills; the ability to translate technical and complex information into clear, concise, and engaging content
- Ability to build and maintain meaningful and productive cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to build consensus or influence decisions
- A meticulous eye for detail, excellent time management and organizational skills, and strong judgment and political acuity
- Project management experience to lead, manage, and monitor simultaneous projects to tight deadlines, and monitor project performance results
- Diplomacy skills and experience with negotiation, and consensus building
- Experience in event planning, coordinating logistics, or working within a government agency is considered an asset
- Experience leading large-scale events, forums, or stakeholder engagement initiatives is an asset
