Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our in-house team, advising on financial services law and regulation, and providing clear recommendations on structure, risk allocation, and incentives. The successful candidate will have experience in corporate, commercial, or financial services law and be admitted to practice in Australia.
Requirements
- Tech-savvy and commercially minded, comfortable partnering with product, tech, and data teams and using AI-enabled tools to enhance legal delivery
- Strong judgement and the ability to balance legal risk with commercial considerations and great customer outcomes
- An excellent communicator who builds trust quickly, influences senior stakeholders, and translates complexity into clear, practical advice
- Adaptable and proactive, thriving in fast-paced environments and confident making well-reasoned decisions with imperfect information
- Dynamic, innovative, and collaborative, with a genuine drive to improve how things are done and to share knowledge with others
- Admitted to practice in Australia (New Zealand admission a bonus), with proven experience in corporate, commercial, or financial services law (start-up or scale-up experience is a plus)
