Senior Legal Counsel

We're seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our financial services and product teams, helping shape how we design, build, and deliver modern financial solutions for businesses across Australia and New Zealand. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor, navigating complex regulatory landscapes and collaborating with senior leaders to influence strategy.

Requirements

• Admitted to practise in Australia (New Zealand admission a bonus)
• Proven experience in corporate, commercial or financial services law (start-up or scale-up experience is a plus)
• Tech-savvy and commercially minded, comfortable partnering with product, tech and data teams
• Strong judgement and the ability to balance legal risk with commercial considerations and great customer outcomes
• Excellent communicator who builds trust quickly, influences senior stakeholders and translates complexity into clear, practical advice
• Adaptable and proactive, thriving in fast-paced environments and confident making well-reasoned decisions with imperfect information
• Dynamic, innovative and collaborative, with a genuine drive to improve how things are done and to share knowledge with others
