Research Associate (Photocatalysis)

The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is seeking a Research Associate to develop photocatalytic systems for unassisted solar fuel and chemical synthesis. The role involves developing semiconductor photocatalysts for water splitting, CO2 reduction, and oxidative organic reactions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields
• Proficiency in (in)organic photocatalyst synthesis, functionalization and material characterization (SEM, TEM, EDX, XRD, XPS, UV-vis)
• Expertise in organic and gas product analysis (gas chromatography, NMR, HPLC) and synthetic methods
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team, excellent organizational and time management skills
