Research Fellow (AI for Learning and Intelligent Educational Systems)

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University is hiring a Research Fellow to support research and development for an AI-enabled brain-based learning platform. The successful candidate will have a strong research track record and experience in AI for learning, intelligent educational systems, and human-centered AI.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Human-Computer Interaction, Biomedical Engineering, or other related fields
• Strong research background in intelligent systems, human-centred AI, machine learning, multimodal analytics, learning technologies, or related areas
• Working knowledge of generative AI, large language models, prompt design, adaptive systems, data analysis, experimentation, and research software prototyping
• Ability to translate research concepts into practical technical designs, prototypes, experiments, and platform features
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability and willingness to contribute to university teaching duties within an engineering-school environment
• Independent, self-motivated, and able to work well in an interdisciplinary team
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and project needs
