Job Description
The National Education Association (NEA) is seeking a Shared Capacity CFO to provide leadership and supervision of assigned state affiliate staff, prepare audit workpapers, and implement internal control structures. The position involves working closely with NEA's Manager of Affiliate Support and Director of Business and Financial Services to ensure effective oversight of state affiliate fiscal operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
- Minimum of 10 years of management experience in finance and accounting
- Strong commitment to the mission of NEA and its state affiliates
- Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience in organizing and managing workflow of state affiliates' finance and accounting offices
- Excellent supervisory, administrative, and communication skills
- Ability to travel out of state periodically
