Job Description
The Independent Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor provides outpatient therapeutic counseling services to patients, delivering direct counseling focused on general mental health and substance use. They assess and provide therapeutic counseling services, provide behavioral health-related prevention/education services, and collaborate with the care team and other internal and external health care providers.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work or counseling, or a related field
- Active and unrestricted AZBBHE licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and/or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Three years of specialized experience in mental health and/or substance abuse with diverse populations
- Experience working with underserved populations
