Job Description
NBCUniversal’s Owned Television station in West Hartford, CT, is seeking a News Photographer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for shooting and editing stories, including spot news and features, and must have a strong commitment to creative, visual storytelling and excellent videography and editing skills.
Requirements
- Minimum one year experience shooting and editing daily stories within a broadcast television news environment
- Minimum one year experience operating live backpacks and ENG live/microwave trucks
- Minimum one year experience operating communication tools and staying connected with the newsroom
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and/or training
- 5 years’ photography/editing experience in a top 50 TV News market station
- Knowledge of Sony PXW-Z750 and 300 series cameras
- Proficient with the Adobe CC Suite including Adobe Premiere, and After Effects
- Experience with Dalet Galaxy Newsroom systems
- FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone certification and flight experience
- Proficient in asset management and file sharing programs including LMX and Latakoo
- Team player who is flexible and will adapt/pivot easily to a changing broadcast environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft 365
- Demonstrated ability to enterprise, research and plan stories
