School Counselor

The School Counselor will provide social-emotional support to students, teachers, and families at Near North Montessori School. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in counseling, psychology or social work, and 2+ years of experience working with children and families in a school setting.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in counseling, psychology or social work
• 2+ years experience providing direct support to children, adolescents and families and leading social-emotional groups for school-age children
• Licensed mental health professional in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Educational Psychology, Social Work, Counseling
• Excellent communication skills, sound judgment and emotional maturity
• Demonstrated ability to work well with teams
• Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within a dynamic work environment
• Advanced understanding of a child's physical, social, emotional development
• Demonstrated ability to provide high level of support and assistance
• Demonstrated analytical skills; intermediate to advanced knowledge of Google Drive
