Job Description
Nearmap is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to lead a team and drive the development of its Kubernetes-based ML workflow orchestration platform. The successful candidate will have 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including experience with large-scale infrastructure, platform engineering, and distributed systems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- Proven experience leading technical projects and/or mentoring a team of engineers
- Deep, production-level expertise in designing, building, and operating systems on Kubernetes
- Expert-level proficiency in a high-level programming language (Python preferred)
- Demonstrable experience building and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Strong, practical understanding of modern software development practices
