Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to architect, deliver, and operate the next-generation location-intelligence backend that powers Nearmap’s core products and customer APIs.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading backend engineering teams delivering scalable, production-grade APIs and platform services
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining distributed systems and data-access platforms in a cloud environment
- Strong expertise in backend technologies including Go or C#
- Deep understanding of API design, cloud-native architectures (such as microservices, containers, events) preferably on AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability tooling
- Strong understanding of system performance, scalability, and distributed architecture patterns
