Supervisor Sterile Processing - Full Time

We are seeking a Supervisor Sterile Processing to oversee the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department. The successful candidate will ensure medical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and made available for use. The position requires a High School Diploma, 2 years' experience in Sterile Processing, and a Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Register Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification.

Requirements

• Supervises the daily activities of the Sterile Processing Department and employees
• Conducts interviews, makes hiring decisions, facilitates orientation, handles terminates, and conducts performance evaluations
• Engages in staff acknowledgement and implements corrective action when necessary
• Works with repair vendors to maintain instrumentation and orders replacements as needed
• Collaborates with repair vendors to maintain instrumentation, orders replacements as needed, and manages the department's inventory of supplies and implants
• Creates staff schedules
• Performs all duties of Sterile Processing Tech
• Works with Infection Prevention, Quality, and OR to maintain Quality standards
• Participates in meetings and committees as needed
• Works with Educator to oversee staff education and competencies
• Monitors and reports Productivity and budget variance
• Reports issues/concerns to Service Leader and/or Service Executive
