As a senior level Team Lead in the Renewable Civil group, you will be responsible for managing a team comprised of engineers, drafters, and/or technicians. You will be responsible for the accurate, timely, and quality completion of Solar Photovoltaic scopes assigned to the team, including site planning, grading, stormwater modeling, and more.
Requirements
- Performs and manages the detailed physical, civil, and structural design and engineering for all aspects of solar photovoltaic engineering
- Produces and reviews full design packages including site plans, elevations, grading plans, road plans, fence details, permitting, drainage plans, construction details, and supporting calculation package
- Reviews submittals for conformance with client specifications and design
- Prepares hand and computer-based calculations
- Prepares a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including cost estimates, budget reports, proposals, and studies
- Performs field inspection and construction supervision services
- Reviews the work of other engineers, designers, drafters, and field service personnel for overall quality and accuracy
- Researches and evaluates local AHJ design and code requirement and standards
- Works with other project team members to produce project deliverables as assigned
- Oversees project planning, scheduling, and coordination, for small to large scale projects
- Supports business development, assists with marketing tasks, and prepares proposals as needed
- Understands scope and develops cost estimates, schedules, and assumptions
- Maintains outstanding company-client relationships
- Assists with client contacts and communications pertaining to specific assignments and meetings
- Engages in lifelong learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues
- Provides technical assistance and training for junior engineers
- Assigns work to and coordinates work with entry-level engineers, technicians, or administrative staff
- Provides pre-sales technical support to customers and the NEI outside sales team
- Reviews customer specifications and assist in formulating and communicating the commercial strategy to best address customer needs
- Develops and maintain outstanding company-client relationships
- Maintains high ethical and professional standards
- Attends conferences, training workshops, seminars, regular undergraduate, and graduate classes as appropriate for advancement and as required to maintain quality of work
- Attends safety training and adhere to all safety rules and guidelines
- Other responsibilities as assigned
