Job Description
The Manager of Healthcare Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is responsible for developing, overseeing and managing the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) department to align with regulatory and/or contractual requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Criminal Justice, Medical/Healthcare or related field; or a minimum of five (5) + years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of five (5) years investigative or health plan/health care operations experience
- Good working knowledge of regulatory requirements/standards
- Superior written and oral communications
- Excellent quantitative and analytic skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally – across business units, and with State and Federal regulatory agencies
- Ability to lead others to achieve desired results in a cross-functional environment
- Previous experience conducting compliance monitoring and audit reviews
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and meet contractual timelines
- Proficient with learning & using various technology software tools, including Microsoft Office
