The Substance Use Counselor - HOC SUD provides individual counseling for intake, assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and discharge planning for clients with substance use disorder or co-occurring conditions. The Counselor - HOC SUD conducts comprehensive, individualized screening and assessments, facilitates educational workshops, process groups, and recovery services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of social work, behavioral sciences, psychology, or a related field
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a mental health setting
- Valid and active registration and certification as a SUD Counselor by the State of California
- Valid Driver's License with current California automobile insurance
- Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
- Valid Tuberculosis Blood (TB) test
