TEACHER

The Neighborhood House Association is a non-profit organization seeking a Teacher to lead a classroom of toddler children. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, independent worker with a solid understanding of child development theories and practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education (ECE/CD) is required
• Child Development Teacher Permit or higher is required or the ability to obtain a Teacher Permit within 90 days of hire
• A minimum of 24 units in Child Development/Early Childhood Education is required
• A minimum of one-year successful experience as a Child Development Center Teacher or equivalent teaching experience
• Must be computer literate
• Current Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
• Must meet and maintain state law and county licensing requirements regarding employment in a child care center
