Requirements
- Process donations with detailed data entry
- Create monthly income reports and other database reports as needed
- Work with the finance department to reconcile monthly financial statements
- Prepare acknowledgment letters and other donor correspondence
- Schedule meetings, coordinate travel, and take minutes at committee meetings
- Merge, print, and mail direct mail appeals, thank you letters, and other donor correspondence
- Support adoptable pets' participation in media appearances, off-site adoption events, and public events
- Assist with researching philanthropic opportunities
- Monitor administrative inboxes and respond to requests from donors
- Continually update and correct database records
- Input donor engagement information into the database in an accurate and timely fashion
- Enter and track solicitation details in partnership with department leadership
- Assist with planning and coordinating fundraising and donor events
- Present potential partnership opportunities to department leadership
- Build relationships with potential partners at the direction of the Events and Community Relations Manager
- Schedule offsites and other events with partners at the direction of department leadership
- Set up and break down events, including setting up professional-looking displays and tables at offsite events
- Provide high-quality customer service to donors and event attendees
- Help promote fundraising activities and solicit support of agency overall
- Interact with co-workers and volunteers in an efficient and courteous manner to ensure a cooperative team environment amongst all departments
- Maintain and promote a positive public image relevant to NHS standards
- Represent NHS, professionally with customers, donors, and business partners
- Attend and participate in departmental and shelter meetings
- Attend educational conferences/seminars as recommended/approved
- Assist with the handling and evacuation of animals located at any NHS campus in the event of an emergency
- Participate in disaster preparedness and response activities for the organization and community as it pertains to pet related needs
- Address and/or report any safety hazards or unsafe activities
