Job Description
Nevada State University is seeking a part-time instructor to supervise student teachers in Northern Nevada counties. The instructor will conduct regular visits, evaluations, and provide a cooperative relationship with district teachers. Applicants must have a Master's degree in teaching and at least 3 years of full-time experience teaching K-12. They should also have strong commitment to teaching, educational excellence, and mentoring undergraduate students.
Requirements
- Ensure the quality of the student teacher's placement experience
- Conduct formal observations
- Foster a cooperative relationship and maintain regular communication
- Act as liaison between the district school and NSU School of Education
- Conduct mid-term and final evaluations
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Partnerships and Field Experiences
- Attend designated seminar classes
