Job Description
The City Bar Justice Center is seeking a Supervising Attorney for its Federal Pro Se Legal Assistance Project operating in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (FedPro-SDNY). The position involves leading a team to provide high-quality legal services to pro se litigants at different stages of federal litigation, and includes areas of responsibility such as meeting with litigants, supervising pro bono volunteers, and providing professional legal and administrative support to the Director of FedPro-SDNY.
Requirements
- Be a New York and S.D.N.Y. bar member in good standing
- Have at least four years of federal litigation experience, including litigating employment and civil rights
- Have at least two years of experience supervising others' legal work
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office 365, and able to quickly learn and effectively use LegalServer and other technology
