The Senior Vice President, Energy is a critical leadership role in achieving the EDC Energy policy objectives. The role is responsible for leading the Energy team and executing strategies to decarbonize EDC's managed assets and provide new energy generation. The Energy Senior Vice President will need to oversee operational excellence in facility energy management, portfolio-wide optimization of energy costs, and deployment of assets for distributed energy resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and at least 10 years of experience in the energy sector, economic development, city or regional planning, real estate development, asset management, and/or a related field.
- Independent and strategic thinker with ability to structure and sell a plan
- Proficient in project management as well as financial analysis, alternatives analysis and other forms of quantitative decision-making
- Energetic, creative, and detail-oriented project management skill set
- Demonstrated written, verbal, and analytical skills with an emphasis on strategic and persuasive communication
- Fluency in Microsoft Office
- New York City residency (required within 180 days of hire)
