Supervising Attorney (Rapid Response)

New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) seeks a Supervising Attorney for a full-time position to lead a team of Staff Attorneys and Paralegals in federal litigation, removal defense, and post-order cases. The role requires substantive knowledge of immigration law, experience working with federal courts, and a commitment to client-centered services for individuals experiencing trauma.

Requirements

• J.D. and admission to New York State Bar
• Fluency in Spanish required
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in immigration law
• Experience working on detained cases and petitions for habeas corpus highly preferred
• Minimum three years of experience supervising individuals highly preferred
