The Engineer, Lead position at Newmark Group, Inc. is responsible for operating and maintaining all building systems, including air conditioning, fan units, and utility meters. The role requires a minimum of 7 years of previous building operations engineering experience and a high school diploma.
Requirements
- Maintain and check operating logs daily
- Organize work orders and ensure efficient handling of building systems and tenant service requests
- Oversee and adhere to the established preventive maintenance program
- Assist in the development of the annual budget and RFP process
- Order supplies and materials
- Maintain monthly inventory of expendable supplies and materials
- Maintain inventory of permanent tools and equipment
- Make weekly inspections of all engineering spaces and equipment
- Respond to tenant complaints and ensure timely satisfaction of tenant needs
- Understand operating procedures and proper chemical treatment levels for cooling towers and boilers
- Maintain and check service contractors work schedule
- Have a complete understanding of life safety systems and procedures
- Coordinate evening fire alarm tests and ensure elevator capture system works properly
- Accountable for implementation of national policy
