Job Description
We are looking for a new Ophthalmic Technician to join our Cheshire Oaks site. Ophthalmic Technicians play a key role in our daily eye clinics, supporting the Clinical Consultant by triaging patients and ensuring the smooth running of the clinics.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Ophthalmology
- Familiarity with optical diagnostic equipment and experience of undertaking a range of diagnostic tests
- Ability to undertake simple fault remedy, cleaning and maintenance of imaging equipment or any apparatus within the clinic
- Experience of working under own initiative with appropriate escalation where required
- A competent user of computer systems and programmes
- An excellent grasp of the English language both verbally and in written format
- A good team player – happy to jump in and support others when required
