Co-Occurring Therapist

Newport Mental Health (NMH) is seeking a Co-Occurring Therapist to provide counseling and support to individuals experiencing substance use disorders. This role involves conducting assessments, facilitating therapy sessions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and providing educational workshops. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving the lives of clients in the Newport County community.

Requirements

• Licensure at the independent practice level (LICSW)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) licenses
• Minimum of two years of co-occurring clinical work experience
• Positive outlook towards change and belief in achievable wellness
• Exceptional interpersonal, writing, and communication skills
• Demonstrated understanding of diversity
• Flexibility and willingness to learn
