Join Nexamp to be part of the clean energy movement and take on new challenges as a Lead Commissioning Engineer. This role involves ensuring projects are safely and reliably energized on schedule and validating asset performance. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 7+ years of experience in designing and commissioning electrical power systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent education/certification background
- At least 7 years of experience designing and commissioning electrical power systems
- At least 4 years of experience in renewables such as Solar, Wind, and Storage
- Experience in controls engineering for utility-scale renewable/hybrid energy, PV/BESS, (AC-coupled/DC-coupled systems) preferred
- Knowledge of inverter parameter setting procedures
- Knowledge and experience with technical communications protocols (Modbus/TCP, DNP3.0, etc.), commonly used controls software/hardware platforms, and communication standards (MESA, Sunspec, etc.)
- Working knowledge and hands-on experience with various relays, meters, SCADA Gateways, and Data Concentrators, experience with programming of RTACs, preferred
- Expertise in commissioning and resolving site technical issues, proven success in independently troubleshooting challenging SCADA related technical issues
- MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software proficiency
- Knowledge of industry standard design codes and electrical engineering and relaying principles
