Transmission & Power Markets Engineer

Join Nexamp to work on clean energy projects and be part of a future-focused team leading the way into new markets. The Transmission & Power Markets Engineer will lead analytical work needed to understand transmission and interconnection opportunities, risks, and costs across target ISO/RTOs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a closely related engineering/quantitative field (e.g., power systems, energy systems, physics with environmental science focus)
• 2+ years of relevant experience in power systems, transmission planning, interconnection, market analytics, or technical project/program management in the power sector (utility, ISO/RTO, IPP, or consulting)
• Solid understanding of the electric transmission system, including concepts such as thermal limits, voltage performance, contingency analysis, transfer capability, and congestion
