Commercial Counsel

Nextdoor is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join their Counsel team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day advice and counsel in commercial transactions, drafting and negotiating contracts, and designing and building scalable systems and workflows. The role will involve collaborating with the revenue team, global Marketing business partners, and other teams to support commercial matters and general operations. The ideal candidate will have a builder's mindset, experience with AI tools, and a strong understanding of commercial transactions and data privacy laws.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced and rapidly growing technology or digital media company
• Experience with in-house legal operations infrastructure, including CLM implementations, intake systems, playbook development, template libraries, self-serve contracting programs, or AI-driven review workflows
• Hands-on experience deploying AI tools in a legal context
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, and experience communicating and explaining complex legal issues to business partners
• J.D. from a nationally recognized law school, admitted to any state bar
