Job Description
NOLA Public Schools seeks a School Security Officer to ensure a safe and secure environment for students and staff. The Security Officer will conduct routine inspections, enforce security policies, respond to incidents, and serve as a key member of the crisis management team. They will also maintain security equipment and report any unusual conditions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalency required
- Minimum of 2 years of law enforcement experience or comparable private security experience
- POST certification or higher required
- Authorization to carry a firearm required
- Valid Louisiana Driver’s License
- Experience working in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Certification in first aid preferred
