Job Description
The Counselor is responsible for assisting the Treatment Director in program planning/development and maintenance of resident charts, providing client services, and meeting contractual agreements.
Requirements
- Maintain a 15-resident caseload.
- Serve as liaison with community as needed.
- Facilitate intervention/motivational groups for residents with special needs.
- Maintain documentation of individual resident’s behaviors in resident charts.
- Educate residents in group and individual settings about addictions.
- Maintain and evaluate therapeutic records.
- Conduct weekly supportive individual counseling sessions.
- Assist in Quality Assurance Program.
- Meet case management and counseling needs of the residents.
- Assist the Treatment Director in developing and maintaining cooperative agreements.
- Actively participate in professional and/or correctional associations/organizations.
- Continue professional education and growth.
- Assist with other duties as deemed necessary by the Director.
