Extrusion Department Manager

Requirements

• Represent the department in establishing objectives and long-range goals
• Ensure the department follows organizational policies and procedures and cooperates with other departments
• Lead supervisors and team members to safely produce quality extrusions at the lowest cost
• Monitor productivity, department staffing, labor costs, recovery and scrap reduction, extrusion run failures, and performance and maintenance of production equipment
• Work closely with the Plant Manager and Extrusion Supervisor on strategic improvement plans
• Oversee planning and scheduling of department personnel to meet production requirements
• Ensure Health and Safety objectives are followed
• Lead and promote a team-oriented environment
• Ensure Customer satisfaction through defect-free products and on-time delivery
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S in assigned work areas
