North America Construction (1993) Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their team at the St. Paul and St. Rose Pump Station projects in Windsor, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have experience working on heavy industrial projects, particularly Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants, and be eager to apply their knowledge and experience to a long-term career in a rapidly growing construction company.
Requirements
- Construction related degree/diploma & approximately 3–7 years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training & experience
- Experience working on Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant projects is an asset
- Previous experience supporting Project Management or Project Coordination on construction projects
- Experience with facility commissioning/automation and closeout is an asset
- Working knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, planning, cost control & engineering drawings
- Project management certification or working towards certification is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to support successful project delivery and execution of project management methods
- Understanding of organizational structures and ability to work with cross-departmental and cross-disciplinary teams
- Strong negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Able to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including technical, professional, and upper management
- Working knowledge of financial management and internal controls
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
