Job Description
The Care Coordinator Medical Interpreter establishes communication between healthcare providers and patients with limited English proficiency. They interpret and translate complex medical information to ensure complete understanding between doctors, nurses, and patients.
Requirements
- Certification from an accredited Medical Interpreter program or Healthcare Interpreter Program
- Completion of a two-year degree from an accredited higher education institution
- 1-3 years' experience interpreting in a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent listening, speaking, and retention skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicle
- Knowledge of State/Federal healthcare compliance requirements
