Job Description
The Correction Officer responsibilities include: maintaining control of the institution, supervising and directing inmate activity, assuring assigned area is clean, safe, and secure, monitoring and operating security controls, equipment, and computers, and conducting inmate counts, security rounds, and searches.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid driver's license for positions assigned to transportation section
- Commercial driver's license to drive vehicles qualifying as commercial
- Successful completion of correction officer assessment or having previously been certified in position of correction officer
