Job Description
The Correction Officer is responsible for maintaining control of the institution, supervising inmate activity, and ensuring the safety and security of the facility, inmates, staff, and general public. The position involves enforcing rules and regulations, monitoring security controls, and operating automotive vehicles.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid driver's license for positions assigned to transportation section
- Commercial driver's license to drive vehicles qualifying as commercial
- Correction officer assessment or successful completion within past 24 months
