Postdoctoral Research Associate

The Postdoctoral Associate will conduct integrated experimental and theoretical research on the mechano-electrochemical behavior of battery electrodes and active particles. The primary function of the position is to develop and deploy advanced experimental platforms for coupled electrochemical–mechanical measurements, including optical quantification of deformation at the electrode and single-particle scales, and to perform systematic electrochemical testing across coin, pouch, and cylindrical cells.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, or a closely related field
• 0–3 years of relevant research experience in battery systems or electrochemical energy storage
• Knowledge of electrochemistry, battery materials, and electrochemical testing methods
• Knowledge of chemo-mechanics and coupled electrochemical–mechanical phenomena in electrodes and active particles
