A national multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a talented Project Manager to join their Los Angeles or San Diego office. The role requires excellent time management, communication, and technical skills to manage project teams and build long-term strategic relationships with clients.
Requirements
- Collaborate with Principal in evaluating project requirements and negotiating an acceptable owner-architect agreement
- Demonstrate task-focused mastery of project scope, profitability, schedule, and budget
- Negotiate critical issues with top-level Architects, Engineers, and officials of other organizations and firms
- Monitor quality of construction documents and provide coaching/communication with team leaders and members
- Develop discipline cost and work-hour budgets for each project and monitor project costs and completion status
- Oversee all correspondence and pertinent documents, making sure they are accurate, and obtain signatures as appropriate
- Coordinate review and evaluation of contractor bids and work with Principal to submit award recommendations to the owner
- Provide day-to-day leadership in the absence of the Principal and/or Practice Group Leader
- Collaborate with Principal and Practice Group Leader in pursuing projects and developing proposals
- Set an example for team effort through cooperation and direct, organize, and mentor junior staff
