Job Description
Northpointe is seeking a passionate and driven Respite Support Specialist to provide intermittent breaks for individuals with mental health challenges. This on-site position assists parents/guardians by relieving them from the demands of daily care, working towards a goal of living in a natural community home. The role involves transporting, advocating for rights, providing interventions, and maintaining a safe environment.
Requirements
- Safely transports and accompanies individuals to and from community needs.
- Advocates and ensures Recipient Rights are respected.
- Provides verbal, nonverbal, behavioral, or physical interventions.
- Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Maintains a safe driving record.
- Practice prevention techniques to reduce transmission of communicable diseases.
