School of Performing Arts Dance Instructor

The primary job of a NorthRidge School of Performing Arts Dance Teacher is to inspire and motivate students to love the arts and help them use their gifts for God’s glory.

Requirements

• Uphold the NorthRidge 16 Word Mission Statement
• Instruct, inspire and motivate students to love dance and grow as a performer
• Provide ministry opportunities as possible
• Be punctual, organized, and presentable
• Execute your lesson plans thoroughly
• Sustain and monitor the behavior and learning progress of each student
• Maintain care/responsibility for school-owned equipment
• Be flexible and generous with students who need extra time and assistance
• Perform administrative tasks such as filling attendance sheets and timesheets
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, other teachers, and the Administrator
• Prepare students for performance opportunities, recitals or competitions
• Choreograph and create fun dance routines for each class
• Clean/ sanitize room and surfaces between each class
