Supervises and leads department functions, including serving and delivering meals, menu planning, food preparation, sanitation, and appropriate record keeping.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of experience in a Hospital, major Food Service establishment, catering service or in storeroom/purchasing OR 1 year of leadership experience in healthcare food service
- Certification by Dietary Manager's Association
- Previous experience in health care
- One (1) year of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, major food service establishment or catering service
- Demonstrated knowledge of common diet modifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of cafeteria operations
- Ability to maintain proper cash-handling procedures
- Ability to supervise and direct food service operations and personnel
- Working knowledge of personal computer applications
